The Linux and Cloud Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining Linux-based systems and cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability performance and security. This role involves system administration cloud resource management automation monitoring and supporting development and operations teams. The ideal candidate combines hands-on Linux expertise with cloud administration skills and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat CentOS Ubuntu etc.) in on-premises and cloud environments.
- Manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud including compute storage networking and security services.
- Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and ensure high availability and reliability of Linux servers and cloud services.
- Implement and maintain automation scripts using tools like Ansible Puppet or Terraform for provisioning and configuration management.
- Manage user accounts permissions and security policies for Linux systems and cloud environments.
- Perform regular backups patch management and disaster recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with development DevOps and security teams to support deployment pipelines and cloud solutions.
- Optimize resource utilization and implement cost-effective cloud practices.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies security standards and industry regulations.
Maintain system documentation runbooks and operational procedures.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10 years of experience in Linux system administration and cloud infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems shell scripting and system troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and related services.
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools (Ansible Terraform Puppet Chef).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
