Were seeking Child and Youth Workers (CYW/CYW) in the Windsor Essex region for flexible casual and part-time opportunities with our partnering community agencies offering an hourly rate of $21 to $23. This role is ideal for experienced youth workers who can serve as positive role models maintain professionalism in documentation and support children and youth in residential or community programs.
Candidates must have a Child and Youth Worker diploma or degree and direct experience working in Child & Youth residential programming assessments behavioural support and crisis intervention.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications & Requirements
- Mandatory: Child and Youth Worker diploma or degree (CYW/CYC) or a related diploma/degree (BA BSW DSW).
- Minimum 1 year experience supporting children and youth in residential group home treatment or community programs.
- Familiarity with youth mental health developmental and learning disabilities trauma-informed care and harm reduction.
- Valid CPR/First Aid UMAB (Understanding & Managing Aggressive Behaviour) or equivalent crisis intervention certification.
- Valid Ontario Drivers License with 1M liability insurance is an asset.

Recent Vulnerable Sector Check (within 6 months).

Up-to-date immunizations and health assessment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills especially in documentation and report writing.

Bilingual French/English is an asset.
- Flexibility to work casual part-time evening weekend or statutory holiday shifts.
Compensation
$21 - $23 per hour based on education experience and certifications.
