About the Opportunity
Greet customers and provide courteous compassionate and professional service
Take and accurately enter food and beverage orders into the POS system
Prepare and serve food and drinksin accordance withfood safety standards
Operate café equipment such as coffee machines ovens and POS systems
Stock and display food and beverage items in an organized and attractive manner
Follow First-In-First-Out (FIFO) food rotation practices andmonitorfood temperatures
Process cash debit and credit transactions accurately and balance cash drawers
Maintain clean and sanitized food preparation service and dining areas
Follow hospital infection prevention and control health and safety policies
Work collaboratively with team members volunteers and healthcare partners
Demonstrate sensitivity to patient privacy and the hospital environment
About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement collaboration and accountability you bring:
High School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent
Food Safety Certification
Previousexperience in food service retail or hospitality
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced environment
Basic math and cash-handling skills
Comfort working in a healthcare environment with diverse populations
Experience working in a healthcare or non-profit environmentconsidered an asset
