Job Summary

The Head of Human Resources & Administration at Vbank drives the Banks people and culture strategy enabling growth in a digital-first environment. The role provides executive leadership on talent management workforce planning organizational effectiveness performance and culture transformation. It ensures strong HR governance regulatory compliance and operational efficiency while partnering with the Managing Director and business leaders to build a high-performing future-ready workforce that supports Vbanks innovation and service excellence goals.

KEY LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Enterprise People Strategy & Organizational Leadership

  • Define and execute the Banks People & Culture Strategy aligned with corporate vision business growth priorities and risk appetite.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the Managing Director & Executive Committee on workforce trends organizational design succession leadership capability and culture.
  • Lead organizational transformation initiatives including restructuring operating model redesign process optimization and change leadership.
  • Champion a high-performance culture anchored on accountability productivity innovation and service excellence.

2. Workforce Planning Talent Strategy & Capability Development

  • Lead enterprise workforce planning talent mapping bench-strength analysis and succession strategy for mission-critical roles.
  • Drive a future-focused leadership development framework management capability programs and continuous learning strategy.
  • Oversee talent acquisition at executive and critical levels while strengthening the Banks employer brand and talent pipeline.
  • Lead the design of competency frameworks performance scorecards and organization-wide capability-building initiatives.

3. Reward Strategy & Organizational Value Proposition

  • Develop competitive and equitable total rewards strategies integrating compensation philosophy market intelligence and productivity alignment.
  • Provide strategic oversight on payroll governance reward analytics job evaluation and compensation benchmarking.
  • Partner with EXCO to build a compelling employee value proposition (EVP) that enhances retention engagement and organizational commitment.

4. Culture Employee Experience & Leadership Alignment

  • Drive enterprise-wide culture initiatives that strengthen trust accountability collaboration and customer-centricity.
  • Lead employee experience strategy internal communications and engagement programs that deepen organizational alignment.
  • Promote an ethical inclusive and psychologically safe workplace while proactively addressing employee relations risks.

5. HR Governance Compliance & Risk Management

  • Oversee HR governance frameworks regulatory compliance internal controls and audit readiness across locations.
  • Ensure full adherence to Nigerian labour laws industry regulations and corporate governance standards.
  • Implement robust policies people risk controls and HR metrics to support informed decision-making at EXCO level.

6. Digital HR Transformation & Data-Driven Decision-Making

  • Lead the modernization of HR through automation analytics HRIS optimization and technology-driven solutions.
  • Provide executive-level insights using HR analytics (workforce trends productivity metrics retention risks cost optimization).
  • Build a data-driven HR function that informs strategic planning and organizational performance.

7. Administrative & Facilities Governance

  • Provide strategic oversightnot operational executionof administrative and facility functions to ensure optimal service quality compliance and cost efficiency.
  • Direct governance of procurement vendor management business continuity planning and workplace safety infrastructure.

COMPETENCY & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business or relevant field; Masters degree preferred.
  • Professional HR certification (CIPM SHRM HRCI CIPD).
  • 1215 years of progressive HR leadership with minimum 5 years in executive or head-of-function roles.
  • Proven experience driving organizational transformation strategy execution and culture change within financial services or regulated industries.
  • Strong business acumen analytical depth influencing capability and board-level communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success leading HR governance workforce strategy and enterprise-wide people initiatives.
