Job Summary

Our client a leading hospitality and leisure operator in Malta manages a diverse portfolio of restaurants and venues offering unique dining and guest experiences driven by quality innovation and exceptional service.

The Role
We are seeking a Head of Sales & Events to lead and grow the commercial and events strategy for a new luxury hotel property. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales managing events and ensuring revenue growth while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the hotels overall sales strategy including food and beverage MICE and leisure segments.

  • Lead the events and banqueting teams coordinating across internal departments and external partners to deliver flawless events.

  • Oversee key accounts corporate clients and partnerships to maximize revenue opportunities.

  • Manage all event budgets negotiations and contracts to ensure profitability.

  • Provide leadership in planning execution and post-event reporting maintaining high standards at every touchpoint.

  • Monitor market trends competitor activity and guest expectations to identify new business opportunities.

  • Mentor and develop the sales and events teams fostering a culture of excellence innovation and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years in a senior sales and/or events leadership role preferably within luxury hotels lifestyle resorts or high-end hospitality.

  • Proven track record in achieving revenue targets and managing high-volume events.

  • Strong leadership negotiation and client relationship management skills.

  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.

  • Creative solution-oriented mindset with attention to detail and guest experience.

  • Proficiency in sales and event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and public holidays.

  • Degree in Hospitality Business Sales or related field preferred.
