DescriptionPosition Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive team and responsible for the financial leadership and transformation of Chubb Life Hong Kong driving sustainable growth and supporting new business models. The CFO will oversee all financial actuarial investment and reinsurance functions ensuring robust financial performance and compliance. The role requires strong commercial acumen experience in business transformation and ideally exposure to distribution channels.It demands deep experience within the life insurance industry and a strong understanding of actuarial principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of financial strategies to support business transformation new business models and sustainable growth.
- Oversee all financial actuarial investment and reinsurance functions ensuring robust financial performance and compliance with industry regulations.
- Direct the actuarial valuation and reinsurance functions including signing off on actuarial pricing from a valuation perspective.
- Ensure financial stability through effective planning reporting and the development of standards for financial performance across actuarial accounting and finance areas.
- Establish and maintain financial procedures systems and controls to support business objectives.
- Oversee asset/liability management and coordinate investment strategy within company guidelines.
- Implement treasury and cash management procedures to optimize financial resources.
- Report progress and provide recommendations to management shareholders and regulators ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Actively participate in setting company business strategies with a focus on financial impact and value creation.
- Provide commercial insight and leadership on business and channel development including agency operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders fostering collaboration and trust.
- Underwriting experience is a bonus and will be considered an asset.
Qualifications- Extensive executive-level financial experience within the life insurance industry is essential.
- Proven track record in leading finance transformation and supporting new business models.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience in business and channel development.
- Professional qualifications in actuarial and/or accounting disciplines are required; actuarial credentials are highly desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Underwriting experience is a plus.
