Role: Design & Research Associate Remote

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Design & Research Associate to create curricula toolkits and learning resources that make menstrual health education engaging safe and behaviour-changing for adolescents. This role combines curriculum design participatory research and field testing to develop practical how-to guides for facilitators frontline workers and youth enabling gender-transformative learning and scalable interventions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum & Toolkit Development

Design facilitation toolkits for Fellows teachers ASHA/ANM workers.
Create session plans activity banks games and behaviour-change tools.
Develop safe-space facilitation guides for sensitive discussions.
Collaborate on visual learning materials (with communications/design teams)

2. Curriculum Design

Develop age-appropriate curriculum for adolescents (1018 years)
Design peer-to-peer learning and adolescent-led models.
Create content that supports gender norm reflection empathy and allyship.
Design integration pathways for scaling programs across contexts.

3. Participatory Research & Testing

Conduct co-design workshops with adolescents and facilitators.
Test curriculum tools in communities and schools.
Gather feedback iterate and improve learning materials.
Document learnings case studies and insights.

4. Safe Spaces & Behaviour Change

Design tools that promote healthy menstrual health behaviours.
Create activities that normalize help-seeking hygiene and peer support.
Build practical frameworks for psychological safety in learning spaces.

Required Qualifications

23 years experience in curriculum design learning content or youth programs.
Bachelors degree in design social sciences education or related fields.
Understanding of adolescent development and behaviour change.
Experience with design thinking or participatory methods.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Kannada is a plus.
Comfort using Canva Google Workspace and basic visual content tools.
