As a Logistics Technician you will help deliver Avantors technical logistics service for a major pharmaceutical client at their R&D headquarters on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The role is based in south Cambridge and will require travel. You will follow all health and safety requirements maintain regulatory compliance for yourself and your team and work in line with established SOPs. Reporting to the Logistics Service Lead you will ensure operational service targets are met and contribute to continuous improvement to enhance service quality for our client. Were seeking a proactive hard-working team player with strong communication skills and the flexibility to work within an established team in the 07:00 - 15:00h shift.
Service Responsibilities:
Providing customer service to end users.
Completing specialist time critical activities with key activities including:
Liquid nitrogen fills into bespoke scientific equipment
Fixed critical daily delivery runs
Cryogenic activities
Solvent drum delivery and changeovers
Conducting collections of internal samples from the lab
Using dedicated software tailored to monitor the tracking of internal movements within the clients R&D centre.
Data analysis/recording of consumption trends of scientific machinery and activity.
Completing and archiving chain of custody records for HBS/RMS/GCB.
Daily recording of the internal auditing for the collection and outward movement of sequencing samples.
Conducting general deliveries from the basement sorting hub to the lab.
Your skills:
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organisational skills
A desire to learn and adapt
Outstanding communication skills on all levels and problem-solving capabilities
Proven excellent customer service focus and ability to work collaboratively
Able to partner with other teams both internal and external to Avantor as well as couriers/suppliers to deliver results.
Knowledge and understanding of Good Laboratory Standards ADR and chain of custody compliance is desirable.
Flexibility adaptability and good at managing change
Experience with the key activities listed is not a strict requirement as on-the-job training is provided
