The DT Technician will provide practical support to teaching staff and students ensuring that lessons are effectively resourced safe and engaging. You will assist with preparation of materials maintenance of tools and equipment and adherence to health and safety standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing resources and equipment for practical lessons
Maintaining machinery tools and stock levels
Ensuring all equipment meets health and safety standards
Supporting teachers and students during practical sessions
Assisting with departmental administration and record-keeping
Liaising with suppliers and contractors as needed
Previous experience in a technical or workshop support role desirable
Knowledge of health and safety requirements in a DT setting
Strong practical skills and attention to detail
Organised proactive and reliable
Ability to work collaboratively within a busy department
