Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic Food Technician to join a successful 1118 academy in Manchester ASAP. This is a full-time permanent position supporting practical Food and Nutrition teaching across KS3KS5.

The Role
The Food Technician will prepare materials and equipment for practical Food and Nutrition lessons ensure health and safety compliance and support staff and students during practical sessions. You will play a key role in ensuring that lessons run smoothly and efficiently enabling students to develop their practical skills and understanding.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing ingredients and resources for practical lessons
Maintaining equipment and kitchen facilities
Supporting teachers during lessons to ensure safe practice
Ensuring compliance with health and hygiene standards
Assisting with stock management and ordering of ingredients
Supporting departmental administration and record-keeping
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in a food or kitchen-based environment desirable
Knowledge of health safety and hygiene requirements
Organised proactive and reliable
Strong practical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
