We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-driven Junior Inventory & Data Analyst to join our fastpaced FMCG environment. If you are exceptionally strong in Excel thrive on working with large datasets and enjoy solving complex inventory challenges this role is for you.
You will be responsible for analysing inventory movements supporting demand planning improving data quality and ensuring the accuracy of stock across multiple branches and warehouses. The role also involves understanding import vs local purchasing landed cost calculations and commodity-driven stock flows.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse daily weekly and monthly inventory levels and stock movements.
Identify slow-moving fast-moving and at-risk stock across all branches.
Build and maintain Excel-based reporting tools and dashboards.
Conduct variance analysis cycle count reconciliation and investigation of discrepancies.
Support demand planning through trend analysis seasonality tracking and forecasting inputs.
Ensure data accuracy across ERP/WMS systems.
Monitor import shipments lead times and landed costs (duties freight clearing).
Assist with export order fulfilment and forecasting where necessary.
Provide insights that improve stock accuracy reduce shrinkage and optimise replenishment.
Requirements
35 years experience in FMCG inventory supply chain or data analysis.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables XLOOKUP INDEX/MATCH complex formulas data modelling).
Experience with large datasets and inventory reporting.
Understanding of stock control principles (FIFO FEFO stock turns safety stock).
Knowledge of import purchasing landed cost calculations and lead time management.
Experience working with ERP/WMS systems (SAP Syspro Sage Oracle or similar).
Strong numerical analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Logistics Business or Data Analytics.
Experience with Power Query or Power BI (advantageous).
