Job Description:

• Were seeking an AWS Configuration & Development Specialist to join our IT organization and support the cloud driven transformation of our insurance platforms. This role blends hands on AWS engineering automation and solution development with a strong focus on security compliance and operational excellence - all essential in a regulated insurance environment.
• Youll work closely with architects developers security teams and business stakeholders to design build and maintain scalable secure and cost efficient AWS solutions that power our core insurance applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Engineering & Configuration:

• Design configure and maintain AWS infrastructure components (EC2 S3 RDS Lambda VPC IAM Cloud Front etc.).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS Code Pipeline Code Build Code Deploy or equivalent tools.
• Optimize cloud environments for performance scalability and cost efficiency.

Development & Automation:

• Develop serverless applications and automation scripts using Python or similar languages.
• Create reusable modules templates and automation frameworks to streamline cloud deployments.
• Integrate AWS services with internal insurance systems and third party platforms.

Security Compliance & Governance:

• Implement AWS security best practices including IAM policies encryption logging and monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with insurance industry regulations (e.g. GDPR ISO 27001 SOC 2).
• Work with security teams to conduct risk assessments vulnerability remediation and audit support.

Monitoring & Operations

• Configure monitoring alerting and observability using Cloud Watch X Ray and third party tools.
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and support incident response.
• Maintain documentation run books and architectural diagrams.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• 3 5 years of hands on AWS engineering or cloud development experience.
• Strong knowledge of AWS core services networking IAM and security controls.
• Proficiency with IaC (Terraform or Cloud Formation).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Programming/scripting experience (Python Bash or similar).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker ECS EKS) is a plus.
• Experience working in regulated industries (insurance finance healthcare) is highly valued.

Preferred:

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect DevOps Engineer SysOps Administrator).
• Experience with event driven architectures and serverless frameworks.
• Understanding of insurance systems policy administration claims platforms or data pipelines.
