Job Summary
Job Title: General Manager - IT
Location: Delhi
Job Overview:
The Senior IT Manager will lead enterprise IT plant digitalization OT–IT convergence and cybersecurity
across solar manufacturing operations. The role is critical for ensuring high plant uptime data-driven
manufacturing excellence secure digital infrastructure and scalable IT platforms aligned with Industry 4.0
and ESG objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. IT Strategy & Digital Transformation
• Define and execute IT & Digital Roadmap aligned with solar manufacturing growth capacity
expansion and automation goals
• Drive Industry 4.0 initiatives in Smart factories MES–ERP–SCADA integration and predictive
analytics
• Lead cloud adoption data platforms and AI/ML enablement
• Partner with business leaders to translate operational needs into technology solutions
2. Manufacturing Systems & OT–IT Integration
• Manage Manufacturing IT systems
• Ensure seamless integration of OT systems with ERP (SAP S/4HANA Oracle etc.)
• Improve OEE yield downtime reduction and traceability using digital tools
• Collaborate with automation and process engineering teams on new line commissioning
3. Enterprise Systems (ERP EAM PLM QMS)
• Lead ERP lifecycle In SAP S/4HANA/ECC and Oracle / Microsoft Dynamics
• Manage: Systems like Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Quality Management Systems
(QMS) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
• Ensure master data governance system scalability and process standardization
4. Infrastructure Cloud & Network Operations
• Manage on-prem cloud hybrid IT infrastructure
• Ensure high availability of Data centres Industrial networks (OT networks VLANs firewalls)
• Oversee Cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)
• Backup DR and business continuity planning
• Optimize IT cost through vendor rationalization and FinOps
5. Cybersecurity & Risk Management (IT OT)
• Design and enforce cybersecurity framework
• Protect critical assets from Ransomware OT cyber threats IP theft & supply chain attacks
• Should have implemented SOC SIEM IAM Zero Trust and knowledge of IEC 62443 / ISO 27001
/ NIST compliance
• Conduct regular VAPT audits and incident response drills
6. Data Analytics & AI Enablement
• Build enterprise data lake / manufacturing data platform
• Enable Real-time production dashboards Yield analytics and Predictive maintenance
• Support AI use cases related to Defect detection (vision systems) Process optimization and
Energy efficiency optimization
7. ESG Compliance & Sustainability IT
• Support ESG reporting and compliance in areas of Carbon footprint tracking Energy & water
usage analytics and Supply chain traceability
• Enable digital audit trails for regulatory and customer compliance
• Integrate ESG data with ERP and BI platforms
8. Vendor & Program Management
• Manage global IT vendors system integrators and OEM partners
• Lead large-scale programs especially ERP rollouts
• Control budgets contracts SLAs and delivery timelines
• Ensure cybersecurity and data compliance across vendors
9. Team Leadership & Capability Building
• Lead and mentor IT infrastructure teams Application & OT integration teams and Cybersecurity
specialists
• Build internal capability in manufacturing digital skills
• Promote IT governance documentation and best practices.
Requirements
• BE / BTech in Computer Science / IT / Electronics
• MBA / MTech preferred (Systems / Operations / Digital Transformation)
• 12–18 years total IT experience out of which 6–8 years in manufacturing IT leadership
• Experience in Solar / semiconductor / heavy manufacturing and Multi-plant IT environments
• ERP (SAP S/4HANA preferred) MES / SCADA / Historian systems OT–IT integration
