Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical care to hospitalized patients
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Participate in hospital rounds and case discussions
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols and standards
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Active medical license in the relevant state
- Experience in Internal Medicine preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient care and ethical practices
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Schedule: 7a-7p 7 on/7 off
Call Requirement: 24-hour shifts every other day
Daily Census: 10-22 patients per physician 21 total
6-bed open ICU
Must read EKGs and do stress tests
Will handle all admissions from the ED and calls on floor patients
Procedures preferred but not required
Support Staff: Additional Hospitalist
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
