This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic medical practice environment.
As a Locum MD you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care and contribute to our commitment to improving patient outcomes in the community.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat patients with hematological and oncological disorders
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in hematology and oncology
- Provide patient education on treatment options and wellness strategies
- Participate in case discussions and contribute to clinical decision-making
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Adhere to all medical protocols and ethical standards
Requirements
- MD or DO degree with specialization in Hematology Oncology or Medical Oncology
- Board certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology preferred
- Prior experience in a clinical setting is an asset
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
- Valid medical license in the state of practice
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8-hour shifts) or Monday-Thursday (10-hour shifts)
No call or weekends required
Setting: 98% outpatient
Daily Volume: 15-20 outpatients 1-3 inpatient consults
Patient Population: Adults
60/40 med/onc split
Support Staff: APPs
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
