Provide full-range primary obstetrical and gynecological care to patients in accordance with approved and recognized standards of midwifery. Provide initial and ongoing comprehensive assessment diagnosis and treatment including prescriptive authority hospital admission/management/discharge and perform or assist with diagnostic and therapeutic medical procedures. Collaborate with appropriate members of health team to assure delivery of high quality health care.

Required Qualifications:
Masters degree required.
Graduate of ACNM-accredited Certified Nurse Midwifery Education Program required along with completion of national board-certification in midwifery.
Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring required within one year of transfer or hire.
Ability to function with autonomy and able to make independent decisions while functioning as part of a comprehensive team required.
Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written forms required.
Ability to provide critical thinking and analytical skills required.
Efficient use of information systems data processing systems telecommunication devices office equipment and audiovisual teaching/education resources required.
Ability to comprehend and follow policy procedure guidelines and protocols required.
Flexibility and dedication to team involvement and supporting organizational goals required.
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required.
State of Nebraska midwifery license required.
Valid drivers license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1 2023 or later).



Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of health care policy and societal factors affecting the delivery of care preferred.
Familiar with patient care equipment as appropriate to specialty area preferred.
Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license preferred.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
