Description of Work
Salary Range: $37782 - $66120Reporting to the Correctional Lieutenant II this position will provide supervision of subordinate staff. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Conducting shift line-up making shift assignments and inspecting all personnel to determine if they are physically and mentally capable of assuming an assigned post.
- Completing reviewing and maintaining time reports duty rosters leave schedules performance evaluations and administrative forms.
- Accounting for persons funds and ensuring that all assigned equipment is operationally ready.

The salary grade for this position is NC08. State employees are encouraged to apply for positions of interest even if the salary grade is the same as or lower than their current position. If selected for this position a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience funding availability and internal equity. Based upon these factors a pay increase MAY result.

Minimum Education and Experience
Some state job postings say you can qualify by an equivalent combination of education and experience. High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years and six months of experience as a Correctional Officer
Or
Two years of experience as Correctional Officer II
Or
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
