The Los Rios Community College District is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time faculty coordinator assignment in the Learning Resource Center (LRC) at American River College. The LRC Tutoring Faculty Coordinator provides leadership coordination and instructional support for the colleges tutoring and academic support services including embedded tutoring and collaboration with instructional and student services areas.
Under the supervision of the Dean of Library and Learning Resources the faculty member will coordinate tutoring services; support college-wide equity and student success initiatives; engage in curriculum development; and participate in faculty governance and professional responsibilities as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.
This position plays a key role in strengthening the integration of tutoring within instructional programs expanding embedded tutoring and supporting innovative equity-informed academic support for ARC students.
This position is a 100% coordination assignment and may also involve teaching a course in this discipline resulting in an overload assignment. Instructional assignments may include but are not limited to one or more of the following courses:
LRC 300: Introduction to Tutor Training (1-unit)
