The University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College announces an opening for a full-time Print Shop Operator. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications this full-time hourly position is offered with a comprehensive benefit package including health insurance retirement life and disability insurance paid leave educational benefits and all other benefits associated with full-time employment. Essential Duties: - Operating digital print equipment in an efficient safe orderly and quality manner. Press production operations include but are not limited: printing collation jog assembly drilling binding cuts glues and package printed materials according to instructions.
- Meet daily production goals and deadlines.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems; coordinate service calls with vendors when necessary.
- Keep and maintain an orderly paper usage and inventory system.
- Assist in prepress and finishing areas when necessary.
- Maintains shop invoicing and financial records.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications: - High school diploma GED or 3 to 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Publisher basic PC operations and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Detail oriented.
- Must be a steady reliable worker.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Organizational and Troubleshooting skills.
