Job Summary

The University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College announces an opening for a full-time Print Shop Operator. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications this full-time hourly position is offered with a comprehensive benefit package including health insurance retirement life and disability insurance paid leave educational benefits and all other benefits associated with full-time employment.

Essential Duties:

Operating digital print equipment in an efficient safe orderly and quality manner. Press production operations include but are not limited: printing collation jog assembly drilling binding cuts glues and package printed materials according to instructions.
Meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Troubleshoot equipment problems; coordinate service calls with vendors when necessary.
Keep and maintain an orderly paper usage and inventory system.
Assist in prepress and finishing areas when necessary.
Maintains shop invoicing and financial records.
Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

High school diploma GED or 3 to 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Publisher basic PC operations and Adobe Creative Suite.
Detail oriented.
Must be a steady reliable worker.
Strong customer service skills.
Organizational and Troubleshooting skills.
