What does the role involve
This is a fixed-term contract covering parental leave. Reporting to the Asia Manager you will help implement Caritas AustraliasStrategyand oversee a portfolio of development partnershipsand projects.
Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Overseeing a diverse portfolio of development and humanitarian partnerships in Asia ensuring high-quality project design implementation and impact.
- Supporting and strengthening partner organisations through strategic accompaniment organisational development and adaptive project management.
- Contributing to ANCP-fundedprojectsmanagement including preparingproposalsand reporting and ensuring compliance.
- Supporting partners through international field monitoring trips.
This roleisbased in our Mascot office and will work a hybrid model including two days in the office per week.
Who are we looking for
The successful candidatewill have adeep commitment to Caritas Australias mission to end poverty and injustice by promoting human dignity for all as well as a dedication to the principles of Catholic Social Teaching that guide our global efforts.Theywill have a mix of the following qualificationsskillsand experience:
- Tertiary qualification in International Development or a related discipline (orequivalentrelevant experience).
- Minimum 5 years experience in international development or humanitarian programming with strong skills in program design implementation and management.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills including strong cross-cultural communication and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Understanding offinancialmanagement including the ability to review budgets and financial reports.
