The Structural Engineer will be based in Egis Global Design Center in Bangkok with a mission to support international rail transportation projects. The person will be responsible for managing the design of structures under the supervision of the Structures Lead. His work will focus on bridge related structural work.
- Perform structural analysis and detailed design for various types of bridges viaducts and other civil structures
- Prepare design and calculation reports
- Follow / coordinate CAD and BIM production including the following responsibilities: give instructions and guidance to CAD/BIM technicians based on the design performed monitor production progress ensure drawing production quality
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff
- Prepare bill of quantity
- Attend meetings prepare /distribute meeting minutes
- Prepare technical reports progress reports and other documentations
- Ensure quality of design deliverables including calculation reports and drawings
- Be familiar and comply with the companys Safety Policy and Quality Management System
Qualifications :
- Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
- Minimum of 10-15 years experience in design.
- Appetency for bridge and structural design.
- Relevant experience in handling leading and checking structural designs (concrete or steel).
- Qualified professional able to work under limited supervision
- Strong knowledge of using international codes such as Eurocodes ACI AASHTO.
- Strong experience in using structural modelling softwares such as SCIA Robot Midas Sofistik or similar
- Experience in working in an international context Good level of English (speaking & writing)
- Ability to work under pressure with good working attitude.
- Ability to analyse and communicate outstanding writing skills and synthesis spirit.
- Good standard of English and Thai languages
