About the role
- Lead and coordinate four small specialist Community Mental Health teams and one program including the Program for Early Intervention and Prevention of Disability the Community Mental Health Rehabilitation Team the Mental Health Peer Work Program the Pathways to Community Living Initiativethe General Practitioner Shared Care Program and direct line manage the Clinical Manager for the Case Management Team
- Provide oversight leadership and supervision to multidisciplinary staff ensuring they are adequately resourced to deliver safe effective case management and psychosocial interventions.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives including clinical policy and procedure development implementation and continuous evaluation across all service areas.
- Ensure consumer participation in service planning and delivery embedding trauma-informed recovery-oriented and rights-based approaches across all programs.
- Strengthen partnerships and stakeholder relationships liaising with internal and external services to support coordinated comprehensive and community-focused care pathways.
- Support the shared care model with local general practitioners promoting empowerment independence and continuity of care through collaborative physical and mental health interventions.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership or management capacity in a clinical setting or similar relevant experience.
- Recognised postgraduate tertiary qualification in a clinical specialty Psychology Social Work Occupational Therapy or Nursing experience in management or willingness to undertake this within 12 months.
- Demonstrated operational financial human resource and workplace health and safety experience at a departmental level with competence in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record or referral systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical governance and its application within a clinical service environment.
- Demonstrated evidence of integrating theoretical knowledge clinical skills critical thinking and analysis to deliver evidence-based patient-centred care within a complex environment.
- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement principles including clinical policy and procedure development and implementation.
