Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. This temporary position is located in Goldsboro - Wayne County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $17.00 -$19.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 400 Old Smithfield Rd Goldsboro NC 27530.
The CNA is primarily responsible for providing direct care and person centered supports to residents with complex physical intellectual medical and behavioral needs. CNAs focus on providing services to enhance the quality of life of their residents in a caring home environment with dignity and respect offering choices and options to support the Nursing Facility duties include completing Nursing Assistant assignments while maintaining optimal gross/fine motor skills ensuring activities of daily living (mealtime dressing bathing grooming etc.) while supporting the highest level of practicable independence. This position is responsible for ensuring all health and safety needs are met for assigned residents per regulatory guidelines. CNAs are responsible for ensuring confidentiality and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA) in all aspects of communication. CNAs work a schedule that includes weekends holidays mandatory reporting during inclement weather due to the facility providing services 24 hours a day seven days a week. We provide schedule options to include: 8-hour Day Evening and Night; 12-Hour Day and Night schedules all part-time up to 29 hours per week.
Shift premiums are applied as follows:
Day Shift - Saturday and Sunday 5%
Evening Shift - Monday-Friday 10%
Saturday and Sunday 15%
Night Shift - Monday-Thursday 10%
Friday-Sunday 15%
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) required upon employment. This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.

High school or General Educational Development diploma; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Condition for Continued Employment As required listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation. As applicable listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. As applicable North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
