About the role
Tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac this one-of-a-kind service is home to five men and one woman with physical disabilities. Each person lives independently in their own self-contained ground floor flat with the added comfort of a close-knit supportive community and a welcoming on-site office.
Youll be working alongside these individuals to promote their day-to-day independence help build their skills and assist with everyday activities all while offering emotional support. Whether its heading to the gym catching a rugby game or going shopping no two days are quite the same!
The team here lives by the Active Support do with not do for approach which empowers the people we support to live life on their own terms. The impact of this approach has been incredibly positive and as part of the team youll have the rewarding experience of seeing the difference you make every single day.
You will be expected to support with daily aspects of living including:
Skills and Experience Needed
A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.
