Summary:
The Maintenance Manager oversees the planning coordination and execution of preventive maintenance and repair activities for all the companys vessels and equipment. This role ensures that all company owned assets are maintained to the highest standards of safety reliability and compliance. The manager leads a team of technicians plans and coordinates repairs and preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency.
Essential Functions:
- Manage and oversee troubleshooting corrective and preventative maintenance on company owned equipment and assets.
- Supervise plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance requirements for company assets.
- Support function for competency program develop skill assessment tools and deliver for mechanics tug personnel & oilers and provide ongoing mentoring.
- Propose maintain and analyze KPIs e.g. effectiveness timelines/schedule reduction in rework and Return on Investment.
- Monitor asset performance. identify issues and see through to resolution.
- Liaise with vendors and contractors for parts service/s and inspections.
- Lead initiatives to improve reliability efficiency and lifecycle management of assets.
- Manage maintenance budgets track expenses and prepare cost forecasts.
- Frequent field and asset visits.
- Maintain On Call status availability via remote means or in person as required.
- Evaluate equipment for longevity review recommend and source critical spares and make recommendations to maintain efficient operations.
- Manage development implementation and management of CMMS and ensure the systems are utilized to document Preventive Maintenance Corrective and Close-Out of Tasks for all company owned equipment.
- Maintenance procedure development training and implementation

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in vessel or marine maintenance and heavy equipment repair.
