Summary:
-
Assemble disassemble and/or modify aerospace systems.
-
Change remove replace or upgrade aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement approved modifications.
-
Oversee assembly disassembly and overhaul activities.
-
Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
-
Troubleshoot complex pneumatic hydraulic and electrical systems.
-
Isolate mechanical and electrical faults and repair defective components.
-
Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components.
-
Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g. repairs test results modifications inspections).
-
Inspect components and verify repairs to ensure flight worthiness requirements are met.
-
Support and/or oversee training activities as needed.
-
Work under general direction.
Requirements:
-
Secret clearance required
-
High School diploma or GED required.
-
Typically 4 or more years of related work experience required.
-
Equivalent combinations of education and experience acceptable (e.g. vocational school Associate degree plus 2 years of related experience Bachelors degree etc.).
-
Applicable and appropriate educational and/or certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience required.
-
Eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise.
-
Minimum of 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
-
Ability to prioritize and complete required training and qualification requirements in a timely manner.
-
Strong troubleshooting skills in pneumatic hydraulic and electrical systems.
-
High attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Experience:
-
1 year of C-17 aircraft experience.
-
U.S. Air Force maintenance experience.
-
Structural maintenance experience.
-
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
