The Role: Project Manager Project Management.

The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring that project members understand what is expected of them and what they should expect from one another. Leads the project planning activities. The project manager directs the creation approval and ongoing change control of the project plan. The Project Manager will lead cross functional teams to deliver projects and be accountable for the safe delivery of projects that meet commercial commitments. This would be inclusive of project initiation planning execution monitor and control and close out of concurrent projects. Finally the Project Manager will be the key contact for clients to resolve project related requirements and concerns and will engage internal stakeholders as required to deliver projects. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire project within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing project management policies and procedures managing a team of professionals and ensuring that projects meet or exceed company objectives. The Project Manager conducts regular audits reviews project performance data and collaborates with other departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include managing project documentation ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations and reporting on project performance to leadership.

A) List the essential functions and major activities in order of their importance.

Ensures safe work practices implemented throughout the project life cycle.

• MCGM orders coordination with customer.
• Make approvals
• Customer Kick off meeting along with sales person
• Documentation support.

The PMs responsibility starts at PO acknowledgement to order shipment and ensures order flows through process to meet customer requirements. This includes a quality project on time and within budget.
Facilitate the review and definition of the project scope schedule and budget and obtain additional documentation as required. This includes the building of a project execution plan that identifies risks and opportunities.
Keep internal and external stakeholders informed of project activities and deliverables will flag unanticipated risks quickly to ensure appropriate risk mitigation strategies are implemented. This includes building and maintaining a strong relationship with stakeholders.
Coordinate all factory visits as needed; including but not limited to in person testing and in person or third-party inspections.
Facilitate project kickoff meetings with critical stakeholders ensuring adequate representation from business development subject matter experts field delivery personnel to review customer requirements.
Accountable for executing contract terms and implementing change orders as required.
Adhere to Xylems Project Management Policy processes and procedures.
Provide technical support to customers end-users and internal departments.
Support the continuous improvement of project management processes and procedures.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with company requirements.
Provide steady leadership support in the face of uncertainty change and aggressive deadlines.
Clarify identify and track requirement decisions and issues remove barriers resolve minor project issues and escalate as appropriate. This would include organizing cross-functional meetings that foster teamwork drive escalation and resolution of issues.
Strategic Decision Making: A manager must be able to assess complex situations consider long-term implications and make decisions that align with the organizations vision and goals. This involves critical thinking foresight and the ability to balance various stakeholders interests.
Effective Communication: Clear transparent and empathetic communication is vital for a project manager. This includes articulating vision expectations and feedback in a way that motivates and engages team members customers and stakeholder.
Customer Centricity: A successful project manager deeply understands their customers needs. They simultaneously protect the business from scope creep and act as the customs advocate during internal decision making.

Part 2. Describe the Person

BE/BTECH (preferably mechanical or electrical) with around 12-15 years of experience in project Management.
Knowledge of pumps and pumping systems.
Self-motivated result-oriented team player.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Negotiation and convincing skill set.
Continuous improvement mindset.
Presentable with fluency in verbal /written English.
Ready to travel domestically and sometimes internationally as well.
