Job Duties:
Lead the day-to-day operations of a licensed Out of School Care program ensuring a safe inclusive and engaging environment for children and youth
Oversee staffing scheduling and supervision to maintain appropriate ratios and program coverage
Ensure compliance with Community Care Licensing BGCCVI policies and core programming standards
Support program planning and implementation including age-appropriate activities and individualized supports where required
Supervise coach and support staff through onboarding training performance management and regular team meetings
Build and maintain positive relationships with families schools and community partners
Ensure accurate administrative records incident reporting attendance tracking and required documentation
Collaborate with Finance and leadership on enrollment fee collection attendance reporting and budget awareness
Oversee facility equipment and vehicle safety maintenance and cleanliness
- Participate in organizational initiatives meetings and special events as required
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in social sciences recreation or related field OR a combination of education and experience (minimum 20 hours child-related education)
- Valid First Aid/CPR certificate approved by Community Care Facilities Licensing
- Eligible for approval as a Licensed Manager through Community Care Licensing
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar child care or youth program environment (preferred)
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience (preferred)
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
