Position Summary

The Assistant Director supports the Executive Director in leading the daily operations compliance and strategic growth of early childhood programs. This role blends administrative leadership with a deep commitment to inclusive family-centered care. Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Support

  • Assist in overseeing classroom operations staffing and curriculum implementation.
  • Provide coaching and support to teaching teams fostering a culture of reflection and growth.
  • Monitor developmental practices inclusive programming and individualized support plans.
  • Ensure alignment with our mission values and strategic goals.


Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Support licensing CACFP and regulatory compliance through documentation audits and staff training.
  • Maintain accurate child and staff records health protocols and enrollment data.


Family & Community Engagement

  • Serve as a warm professional point of contact for families and community partners.
  • Coordinate family communications events and outreach initiatives.
  • Cultivate partnerships that enhance programming and resource networks.


Administrative Operations

  • Support scheduling and staff onboarding.
  • Assist with budget tracking supply management and vendor coordination.
  • Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Director.


Qualifications

  • Degree in Early Childhood Education Child Development or related field (Associates or higher preferred.)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting with leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of TN licensing regulations CACFP and inclusive care practices.
  • Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to equity resilience and community-centered care.
