Position Summary
The Assistant Director supports the Executive Director in leading the daily operations compliance and strategic growth of early childhood programs. This role blends administrative leadership with a deep commitment to inclusive family-centered care. Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Support
- Assist in overseeing classroom operations staffing and curriculum implementation.
- Provide coaching and support to teaching teams fostering a culture of reflection and growth.
- Monitor developmental practices inclusive programming and individualized support plans.
- Ensure alignment with our mission values and strategic goals.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Support licensing CACFP and regulatory compliance through documentation audits and staff training.
- Maintain accurate child and staff records health protocols and enrollment data.
Family & Community Engagement
- Serve as a warm professional point of contact for families and community partners.
- Coordinate family communications events and outreach initiatives.
- Cultivate partnerships that enhance programming and resource networks.
Administrative Operations
- Support scheduling and staff onboarding.
- Assist with budget tracking supply management and vendor coordination.
- Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Director.
Qualifications
- Degree in Early Childhood Education Child Development or related field (Associates or higher preferred.)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting with leadership or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of TN licensing regulations CACFP and inclusive care practices.
- Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to equity resilience and community-centered care.
