NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Watertown NY. This role is ideal for OR nurses with strong perioperative experience who can function confidently in a fast-paced surgical environment while maintaining strict sterile technique and patient safety standards.
Unit & Practice Overview

Patient Population: Adult surgical patients

Floating: As required

Charge Responsibilities: May be required based on unit needs

Knowledge of OR instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique

Safe patient positioning and lift utilization

Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation
-
Familiarity with standard OR clinical equipment
-
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
-
Active New York State RN License
-
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
-
BLS required ACLS preferred
-
Nurses without recent OR experience must complete and pass the AORN Perioperative 101 Program (6 months)

Minimum 1 year Med/Surg experience preferred

Preceptorship charge or leadership experience preferred

Strong clinical judgment communication and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to work effectively under pressure in high-acuity situations
Refer a qualified candidate and earn a $500 referral bonus once the assignment is successfully completed.
