Job Summary

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will drive growth in the retail acrylics market by identifying new business opportunities expanding relationships with retail partners and increasing product visibility across key channels. This role focuses on selling acrylic displays fixtures signage and custom acrylic solutions to retail customers distributors and brand partners. The ideal candidate is a proactive hunter with strong retail insight product knowledge and a passion for building long term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities Retail Sales & Account Growth
  • Identify prospect and secure new retail accounts for acrylic displays fixtures and merchandising solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers merchandisers store planners and procurement teams.
  • Present product lines custom acrylic capabilities and value added solutions to retail clients.
  • Develop account strategies to increase product penetration and expand SKU offerings.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to identify growth opportunities.
Business Development & Market Expansion
  • Research and target new retail segments including specialty stores big box retailers boutiques and brand environments.
  • Attend industry trade shows retail events and networking opportunities to generate leads.
  • Analyze market trends competitor activity and customer needs to inform sales strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop sales materials product presentations and promotional campaigns.
  • Build a robust pipeline and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
Product Knowledge & Acrylic Solutions
  • Develop a strong understanding of acrylic materials fabrication processes and product applications.
  • Partner with engineering design and production teams to support custom project quotes and feasibility assessments.
  • Educate customers on product durability customization options and retail merchandising benefits.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on product performance customer needs and emerging trends.
Customer Experience & Relationship Management
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle from initial contact to post sale support.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate order processing on time delivery and quality standards.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally to maintain long term partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records sales forecasts and activity reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Sales or related field preferred.
  • 2 5 years of sales or business development experience ideally in retail fixtures acrylic products POP displays or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of retail merchandising store environments and product placement.
  • Proven ability to prospect negotiate and close new business.
  • Excellent communication presentation and relationship building skills.
  • Self motivated goal oriented and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
