  • May float to sister Dermatology clinics (First Hill West Seattle Bellevue)
    Schedule:

  • Day Shift Monday Friday

  • 08:00 AM 5:00 PM

  • Occasional weekend shift (maximum 5 per contract)

  • No on-call
    Start Date: 01/12/2026

Job Description Summary

We are seeking for a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) for a 13-week contract in an adult outpatient Dermatology clinic. This role requires hands-on dermatologic procedure support strong clinical and administrative skills and Epic EMR proficiency. Only MA-C candidates are accepted. The position may float between nearby dermatology clinics and requires reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
  • Room adult dermatology patients and prepare for provider exams

  • Obtain and document vital signs

  • Record patient history medications and allergies

  • Assist with dermatologic procedures including punch and shave biopsies ED&C and dressing changes

  • Set up and assist with aseptic and sterile procedure trays

  • Perform suture removal and wound care

  • Label and manage specimens appropriately

  • Conduct blood glucose testing via glucometer

  • Manage office duties including chart preparation authorization forms pharmacy calls and refill requests

  • Support scheduling and patient communication (Epic In Basket)

  • Maintain clinic supplies and ensure adherence to aseptic technique

  • Float between dermatology clinic locations as needed within skillset

Key Requirements
  • Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) ONLY

    • MA-R and MA-P not accepted

  • Minimum 6 months adult outpatient clinic experience

  • Epic EMR experience REQUIRED

  • BLS certification required

  • Dermatology experience strongly preferred

  • Ability to assist with biopsies sterile setup and suture removal

  • Reliable transportation required (floating expected)

  • Open to local and non-local candidates

  • First-time travelers accepted

Qualifications Education
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program

Experience
  • At least 6 months experience as an MA-C in an adult outpatient setting

  • Dermatology clinic experience preferred

License
  • Active Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) credential

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

Skills
  • Rooming patients and exam preparation

  • Vital signs collection

  • Recording history medications and allergies

  • Aseptic technique and sterile procedure setup

  • Assisting with biopsies (punch shave ED&C)

  • Dressing changes and wound care

  • Suture removal

  • Specimen labeling and handling

  • Blood glucose testing via glucometer
