Job Summary

Job Purpose:

The Treasury Advisory Group is the customer facing unit of treasury. The team is responsible for the entire Treasury Product offering across FX and derivatives products to ALL customers of the Bank.

The Regional Head role in the Treasury Advisory Group is responsible for the Treasury Product offering across FX and Derivative products to the customers of the Bank in the identified geography and client segments.

The roles objective is:

  • Implement the Business strategy formulated at the management level for the coverage of the areas the role handles

  • Adapt the Business strategy in consultation with the Supervisor for the specific coverage of the geographic areas the role handles

  • Ensure business unit delivery as per the plan. Grow the business in each segment of the coverage focusing on ROE for the Bank

  • Increase market and wallet share of FX business for the customers covered

  • Strong relationships with senior external and internal stakeholders

  • Focus on fulfillment of all treasury transactions in adherence to the Banks processes and policies

  • Lead the team to achieve the Financial and the Non-financial objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategy for TAG Business for Wholesale:

  • Implement the business strategy for treasury products for identified segments of the Bank viz. CBG ECG BBWC Retail etc factoring the dynamics of individual segments.

  • Growth in wallet share of FX business for the customers and segments covered.

  • Growth in market share of the FX business for the Bank

  • Drive the customer derivative business of the segments.

  • Focus on ensuring increase in cross border Trade for the Bank

  • Evolve a strategy for the cross border funds business. Grow overseas business with Local Banks in the sub-continent and middle east.

Financial Objective:

  • Set the Revenue and Volume target for the Business budgeting at a customer and segment level.

  • The process needs to have marketing plan customer wise periodic reviews including with other stake holders like business groups.

  • Focus on the ROE for the Bank and try to maximize it on the treasury products

  • Increase Trade and FX wallet share of the Banks customer

  • Grow the Fund business including the custody business from the cross border funds

  • Grow Local Banks business from countries in the sub-continent.

Relationship Management - external and internal:

  • Direct coverage of customers at a senior (CFO) level.

  • Build relationships at senior levels of the customers and leverage the relationships for enhanced

    business.

  • Manage the internal stake holders viz. Businessgroups Risk Operations Finance Audit Compliance etc.

  • Collaborate to get support of business and credit when risk limits are needed.

Internal Policies and Processes:

  • Evaluate the internal policies and processes related to the TAG business including the work flow.

  • Fine tune processes to enhance customer delight while ensuring regulatory compliance. This includes digitization of processes.

  • Drive trade automation.

New Products:

Help launch new products for the Bank within the Banks objectives of risk appetite. This involves ensuring that the entire process of marketing selling and closure of transactions is done in line with the Banks internal policies and risk appetite.

Coverage of Local Banks in Sub-Continent and Middle East:

  • Target the local Banks in the sub-continent and Middle East for FX derivative money market lending business

  • Work with risk team on managing credit market and country risk limits.

Fund Business:

Target the cross border funds viz PE/FPI/Venture Funds etc. for the FX requirements including the hedging requirements and also their custody requirements.

People Management:

  • Resource planning and management of capacity and productivity

  • Performance management

  • Communicating and driving organizational

    objectives

  • Career planning and learning and development.

Organizational Objectives:

Communicate and Implement organizational objectives beyond the immediate job role and carry the organizational image at all interactions

Risk Management and Risk mitigation:

  • Risk management and Risk mitigation ideas for the corporate

  • Manage Banks credit and market risk when offering products to customers

  • Evaluate the Reputational and Legal Risk for the Bank on product offerings to customers in line with suitability and appropriateness policy.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Graduation: Any

  • Post graduate. MBA qualifications in

    Finance CA.

Key Skills:

  • Aptitude and attitude to financial markets. Detailed treasury product knowledge including pricing capabilities should have had hands on experience on this aspect. Adequate knowledge of International Micro Macro and Public Finance Economics with ability to interpret these data and use it for business opportunities

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills

  • Strong analytical and mathematical acumen
