Regional Sales Manager: Roles and Responsibilities
The core function of the Regional Manager is to achieve and exceed regional sales targets while maintaining operational excellence.
A. Sales and Market Strategy Execution:
Target Achievement: Aggressively pursue and achieve annual and quarterly sales revenue and profitability targets (P&L orientation) for the assigned region.
Market Penetration: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand market share identify new business opportunities and penetrate key accounts and emerging market segments.
Forecasting and Reporting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts pipelines and market intelligence reports providing regular detailed updates to senior management on regional performance and competitive activities.
B. Team Leadership and Management:
Recruitment and Development: Recruit hire train coach and mentor the regional sales and service team to ensure high performance professionalism and adherence to company standards.
Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations conduct regular performance reviews and implement corrective actions or reward programs as necessary to motivate the team.
Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient regional operations including territory management optimal resource allocation and synergy between sales service and technical support functions.
C. Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
Key Account Development: Build and nurture strong long-term relationships with key customers decision-makers and influencers across all organizational levels.
Problem Resolution: Act as the primary escalation point for complex customer issues ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution to maintain high customer retention and loyalty.
Value Proposition: Articulate the companys value proposition clearly demonstrating a strong understanding of the customers business needs defining the Return on Investment (ROI) for solutions and collaboratively addressing technical and commercial challenges.
Qualifications :
BE/B. Tech (Chem) or Science post graduate from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales Origination
Minimum of 5 years of experience selling water treatment chemicals in heavy/metal industries.
Industry knowledge and application knowledge
Additional Information :
Ability and willingness to travel up to 40%
