Description

The Overnight Janitorial Manager supervises custodial operations across campus buildings of assigned Zones to ensure a clean safe and welcoming environment for students staff faculty and visitors. This role includes managing custodial frontline staff managing schedules and supplies coordinating with other departments and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Compensation: $80000 per year

The pay listed is the salary rate for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicants education experience skills abilities geographic location and alignment with market data.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise train and evaluate custodial staff including leads.

Develop work schedules and adjust staffing levels to meet operational needs.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and adherence to university standards.

Adhere to Key Performance Indicators driven by Smart Inspect data as it pertains to proper client reporting.

Supervise distribution of cleaning supplies and equipment; place orders as needed.

Respond promptly to maintenance and cleaning requests from university departments.

Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations.

Work collaboratively with maintenance groundskeeping and other university services.

Provide training during onboarding and ongoing training of custodial staff.

Qualifications:

Education:

Associates degree preferred: Bachelors degree in Facilities Management or related field preferred.

Experience:

At least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Experience in a higher education or large institutional setting preferred.

Skills:

Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.

Knowledge of cleaning techniques equipment and industry standards.

Ability to supervise a diverse team and foster a positive work environment.

Competence with Microsoft Office and facility management software.

Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English) a plus.

Working Conditions:

Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
