The Opportunities
The Workstream Leads play a key role providing leadership and subject matter expertise to support the Universitys compliance with the Universities Accord (National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-Based Violence) Act 2025.
Working collaboratively with the Program Manager SME Lead and a range of internal stakeholders youll lead the design and implementation of initiatives that strengthen UNSWs prevention of and response to gender-based violence. Each Workstream Lead has 12 direct reports and is responsible for coordinating delivery within your workstream ensuring alignment with program goals reporting requirements and organisational values.
You will also support impact evaluation of education and service delivery with scope to report findings to sector audiences and in publication.
Workstream Lead (Education and Capability) Job 536502
Focus on designing developing and implementing education and capability initiatives that prevent gender-based violence and build staff and student capacity to respond effectively to disclosures. Youll lead the creation of training programs and educational content for staff student leaders and specific student cohorts (e.g. international students and residents). Youll also coordinate bystander programs external provider training ensuring a consistent trauma-informed and person-centred approach to capability building across UNSW.

Focused on leading the planning analysis and optimisation of service processes related to UNSWs gender-based violence response youll be responsible for documenting analysing and improving current service workflows with particular attention to risk management safety planning and compliance. The position plays a critical role in developing consistent frameworks for risk assessment and trauma-informed practice as well as improving data capture documentation systems and process effectiveness across the universitys GBV response services.
