Position: Sales & Marketing Executive (HORECA & FMCG) Premium Wines EGMA Pork Products
Location: Dar es Salaam Tanzania (with frequent travel to Zanzibar and other territories as assigned)
Reports to: Managing Director / Head of Commercial
Transport: Company transport provided
1) Job Purpose
To drive aggressive target-led sales growth and market expansion for:
1. Top-class wines (South African Tanzanian) sold wholesale to hotels top restaurants premium bars and selected retail outlets in Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar.
2. EGMA Pork Products (pork meat sausages bacon) by creating and expanding the market in Dar es Salaam and other high-demand clusters including exploring export/out-of-country buyers.
2) Key Responsibilities
A. New Business Development (Core)
Prospect pitch negotiate and close new accounts continuously (hotels restaurants lounges caterers premium retail).
Build a structured pipeline: leads meetings sampling/tasting proposals closing repeat orders.
Identify strategic territories and clusters with strong demand (premium hospitality pork-demand areas).
B. Key Account Management (Retention Growth)
Manage and grow assigned key accounts; ensure repeat orders and increased basket size (more SKUs higher volumes).
Maintain excellent PR and customer care with F&B managers chefs procurement and owners.
Handle complaints professionally and ensure quick resolution with operations/logistics.
C. Category Growth & Market Creation (EGMA Launch)
Execute launch activities: tastings chef demos outlet onboarding menu placement support promotions.
Expand distribution for fresh pork processed items (sausages bacon) in targeted outlets.
Ensure product education: storage handling usage and differentiation of EGMA products.
D. Wine Business Execution (Wholesale/HORECA)
Position wines as premium; support outlets with pairing guidance wine lists and promotional activations where needed.
Build a consistent route plan for Dar Zanzibar accounts and ensure order frequency.
E. Reporting & Discipline
Submit accurate daily/weekly/monthly reports: visits pipeline orders volumes collections and forecasts.
Track competitor pricing and market intelligence (hotel/restaurant trends new openings events calendar).
F. Digital & AI Marketing (Added Advantage)
Coordinate social media and simple content plans to generate leads and support brand visibility.
Use AI tools for customer segmentation content planning and campaign ideas (where applicable).
Requirements
3) Minimum Requirements
Proven sales experience in HORECA/FMCG with strong ability to close deals.
Demonstrated experience selling wine/liquor to high-end hotels and top restaurants is a MUST.
Strong negotiation presentation and relationship-building skills.
Highly organized with strong reporting habits.
Willingness to travel (including Zanzibar) and work flexible hours for activations/events.
