Job Summary

This is a remote position.

Mommy Poppins is all about sharing a passion for living in the Westchester area of New York with kids and all the cool things there are to do here. Were looking for talented freelance writers in and around the local area. The ideal candidate is a local parent with excellent writing skills who will contribute on the topic of family-friendly activities in and around our great state.

Mommy Poppins writers are expected to contribute 3-6 posts per month covering kid-centric topics such as playground openings childrens theater and the best places for animal encounters. We are looking for parent writers who are passionate about experiencing local fun with kids and sharing their point of view.

This is a work-from-home freelance opportunity. Articles will be a combination of your pitch ideas and assignments from the editor. Compensation is a flat fee of $50 per post.

Requirements

Musts

Has some professional writing experience
Comfortable navigating a CMS (content management system) after being trained
Available to cover family activities in person in and around Westchester County NY
