Position: Senior Family Law Attorney
Location: San Diego CA (Hybrid)
Base Salary: $175000
Billable Requirement: 1500 hours annually (approximately 375 per quarter under 6 hours per workday)

A growing boutique Family Law practice in San Diego is seeking a Senior Family Law Attorney to join the team. The firm focuses on helping clients navigate difficult family transitions while maintaining a supportive environment for both clients and staff. The firm currently consists of two attorneys (including a Certified Family Law Specialist) a dedicated support staff handling legal and administrative work and a small intake/sales team.
They are looking for a Senior Attorney who can step in and immediately handle complex family law matters while delivering high-level client service.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop legal strategies and advise clients on family law matters
Serve as the primary point of contact between the firm and clients
Oversee cases from intake through resolution
Delegate work to associates paralegals and legal assistants while maintaining responsibility for case progress
Handle complex family law matters including contested custody disputes and financial issues
Manage full-service family law cases including:
Divorce
Parentage
Child support
Spousal support
Domestic violence restraining orders
Asset and property division
Conduct discovery and legal research when needed
Draft and review complex pleadings and motions
Handle pretrial hearings motion hearings evidentiary hearings and trials
Requirements:
Approximately 10 years of Family Law experience
Extensive trial and motion practice experience
Experience handling family law matters from start to finish
First-chair experience in court mediation depositions evidentiary hearings and trial
Strong research writing and analytical skills
Deep familiarity with California Family Code Local Rules California Rules of Court and Civil Procedure

Compensation & Structure
Base Salary: $175000
Billable Requirement: 1500 hours annually (approximately 375 per quarter under 6 hours per workday)
Additional Compensation:
Origination bonuses for cases brought in through the attorneys referral sources
Profit sharing if firm goals are met
