About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food & Beverage Head of Department to lead the F&B academic and practical training functions within our clients institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for curriculum delivery quality training departmental coordination and ensuring graduates are industry-ready.
Reporting to Head of Academics (Dean of Studies)
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate the Food & Beverage academic and practical training programs.
Develop review and implement F&B curriculum lesson plans and assessment tools.
Ensure training delivery aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Supervise mentor and support trainers/lecturers within the F&B department.
Lead practical sessions and maintain high standards of service hygiene and professionalism.
Ensure the training restaurant service labs and related facilities are well-managed and fully functional.
Collaborate with industry partners to enhance practical exposure internships and guest lectures.
Monitor student performance discipline and progression.
Participate in academic committees quality assurance processes and institutional events.
Support the development of new programs or short courses in the F&B field.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
A Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (mandatory).
Industry exposure and practical experience in Food & Beverage operations (mandatory).
Experience in teaching training or curriculum delivery is an added advantage.
Strong understanding of modern F&B techniques service standards and training methodologies.
Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire students maintain discipline and uphold institutional values.
Required Skills:
Qualifications & Experience A Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (mandatory). Industry exposure and practical experience in Food & Beverage operations (mandatory). Experience in teaching training or curriculum delivery is an added advantage. Strong understanding of modern F&B techniques service standards and training methodologies. Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire students maintain discipline and uphold institutional values.
