Works Supervisor II (Facility Management Department)

Hospital : Kwai Chung Hospital

Pay : HK26908 HK$32140 (HGPS point 9 to 12) per month including Monthly Allowance

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund byHospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist supervisors and managers in the management of day-to-day (DTD) building and facilities repair and maintenance works facility management project management services and providing technical support to Kwai Chung Hospital (KCH) and clinics under KCH. Major duties include but not limited to:

1. Supervise and carry out the day-to-day repair maintenance and improvement works.

2. Supervise the hospital maintenance team and works agents on the works of planned and corrective maintenance to the hospital.

3. Liaise with parties concerned including external contractors (if applicable) for timely and smooth execution of various works and projects.

4. Attend emergency calls and carry out emergency repair works outside normal working hours when required.

5. Conduct internal facility inspection or audit as required.

6. Ensure work safety while carrying out daily works.

7. Maintain good inventory control of related stores.

8. Perform shift duty attend emergency calls and be on duty during adverse weather.

9. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisors.

Entry Requirements:

1. a) A Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College / Hong Kong Technical Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or equivalent;

OR

b) 5 years of relevant working experience as skilled worker in the field of Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;

OR

c) Completed a recognized Technician Apprenticeship in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

2. A knowledge of English and Chinese equivalent to Form 3 (before 2012) / Secondary 3 standard.

3. Obtained valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card).

Preferred Attributes / Exposure:

1. Good interpersonal and communication skills.

2. Selfmotivated responsible and able to work independently.

3. Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office including both Chinese and English word processing Excel etc.

4. Experience in conducting handover inspection defects checking testing and commissioning of mechanical system central air-conditioning system BMS/CMMS or electrical system in hospital.

5. Experience in supervising maintenance and improvement works.

6. Possessing the following valid certification / license would be an advantage:

l Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker (Grade A or above)

l Certificate of Certified Worker under confined spaces regulation

l Certificate of Competent Person under confined spaces regulation

l Construction Worker Registration card

l Certificate of Licensed Plumber issued by WSD

l Certificate in Safety and Health for Supervisors (Construction)
