The Academy launched 1 July 2024 is a dynamic academic unit comprising three disciplines/departments: English Language and Literature (ENG) Humanities and Creative Writing (HMW) and Translation Interpreting and Intercultural Studies (TIIS) under the Faculty. Our vision is to be a leading centre of excellence fostering linguistic diversity creative expression and intercultural communication. We empower students and scholars to bridge cultural divides and innovate in literary linguistic and translation arts contributing to a globally interconnected world. The Academy offers multiple programmes including BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature BA (Hons) in Humanities BA (Hons) in Creative and Professional Writing and BA (Hons) in Translation along with a range of taught postgraduate programmes.

Requirements:
Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant discipline related to the programmes offered by the Academy demonstrate a strong commitment to transdisciplinary teaching collaborations open to adoption of technologies to facilitate teaching and learning both within the Academy and other academic units in the will be given to applicants with university level teaching experience in (i)bridging intercultural studies humanities and values education with a strong commitment to whole person education; (ii)in teaching bothundergraduate and post-graduate courses; (iii) teaching in international context intheareas mentioned above; and (iv)demonstratingbilingual proficiency in English and a second language preferably Chinese where relevant to the position.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
