Job Summary

General Description

The Seminole County Sheriffs Office is now accepting applications for the position of ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR ASSIGNED TO THE SEMINOLE COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT AND CORRECTIONS ACADEMY.

This position is responsible for aiding personnel in the performance of their duties by carrying out responsibilities as assigned within the Professional Development Division.

Salary is negotiable based upon related training education and experience.

Typical Duties

REFERENCE ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATORVIA JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Perform administrative and technical work assisting in the development implementation and increase of in-service academy specialized training and career development programs for Sheriffs Office personnel and incorporate the agencys vision in training and career development.
Assist in carrying out the mission of the Professional Development Division.
Maintaintrainingrecords( attendancesheets andpost-training surveys).
Assist with on-site audits conducted by FDLE.
Develop produce and analyze reports and data.

Complete correspondence related to the Training Academy.

Track instructor information and qualifications.

Track and update the FDLE portal (ATMS) with new entries recertifications mandatory class completions and Specialized Units recertifications.

Book classrooms and ranges and ensure they are set up properly.

Prepare and disseminate materials (e.g. instructional notes feedback forms). Act as a point-of-contact for trainers vendors and participants.

Handle accounts payable and ensure invoices are paid. Resolve administrative issues as they arise on-site.

Submit reports on training activities and results. Recommend improvements or new programs.

Maintain knowledge of current training documentation and record maintenance required by the FDLE the agency and the Professional Development Division.

Order and maintain stock of permanent and expendable training and Professional Development items.

Maintain personal contact with the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission to establish rapport and gain an understanding of their training requirements.

Performs any other tasks as assigned by the Professional Development leadership team.

Responsible for issuing all certification documents for specialized training.

Strong attention to detail with an ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Ability to problem-solve and possess strong project management skills.
Experience with various training methods including on-the-job coaching mentorship programs and e-learning. Experience with different projects such as management training and soft-skills development is also essential.

The background investigation process may take 3-6 months depending upon the complexity of the applicants background and position for which youve applied. Applicants selected for employment will be provided a conditional offer and required to submit to a medical examination with drug screening.

An applicants tattoos and body ornamentation must be disclosed at the time of application and will be documented as part of the agencys review process even if otherwise meeting the Agencys policy.
