Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Manager to join our team in Brisbane City Australia. As the Night Manager you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during overnight hours maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction and overseeing the safety and security of our property.
What youll be doing:
- Manage and supervise all aspects of hotel operations during night shifts
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by addressing inquiries resolving issues and anticipating needs
- Oversee check-in and check-out procedures maintaining accurate guest accounts and records
- Implement and maintain strict security protocols to ensure guest and property safety
- Coordinate with other departments to address any overnight maintenance or housekeeping needs
- Prepare and analyse nightly reports for management review
- Train and mentor night shift staff promoting a culture of excellence passion and pride
- Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently following established procedures
- Assist in food and beverage service as needed ensuring quality and timeliness
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of hotel operations and guest services.
Qualifications :
Youll excel in this role if you have:
- Proven experience in hotel management preferably in a night manager or similar role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Exceptional customer service orientation with a guest-first mindset
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
- Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g. Opera) and Microsoft Office suite
- Thorough understanding of hotel safety and security procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced ever-changing environment
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts and adapt to varying schedules
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred).
