About the role
Following the recent integration of Bauer Media Outdoor (BMO) into the Bauer Media Group were growing the BMO PR & Communications team to support the execution of our expanded corporate communications remit in alignment with the BMG Corporate Communications team and through greater collaboration across BMO UK and Europe.
You will help to bring the BMO Way to life through a range of communications channels contributing to content creation and distribution for both internal and external audiences. This will be a fantastic opportunity for an apprentice to receive hands-on learning covering a range of practical tasks that will give you a solid understanding of the diverse aspects of PR & communications with the ability to develop your expertise and skills over time.
What youll be doing
- Collating preparing and publishing content across internal communications channels incl. MyBauer (intranet/ SharePoint) internal newsletter (HubSpot) and internal screens collaborating closely with the Internal Comms Senior Manager and liaising with BMO stakeholders for inputs.
- Contributing to the implementation of/feeding into BMG-led comms initiatives and requests across BMO UK & Europe.
- Publishing news articles on the BMO UK website and building/editing selected webpages (Webflow) and sharing content on other platforms (Vimeo).
- Assisting with preparation for internal events/Crews (employee networks) activities meetings and presentations involving comms updates.
- Keeping PR & Communications assets and collateral updated and organised.
- Support media relations through our media monitoring/PR distribution platform including media list updates & coverage reports.
- Monitoring and responding to public enquiries.
Who are you
- You are either a postgraduate with little or no professional experience or a school leaver who has completed A-levels or a BTEC qualification and then went straight into work gaining hands-on experience (even if not specifically in PR).
- You will have a strong interest in pursuing a career in PR & Communications.
- Copywriting skills/experience would be beneficial (or a tangible desire to develop them).
- Highly organised demonstrating attention to detail & diligence.
- A keen adopter of new tools & technologies.
- Curious to learn about the business industry and latest developments in PR & Communications.
- A good communicator with a proactive and self-starter mindset.

This is an apprenticeship-based position. You will undertake a Level 4 Apprenticeship in Public Relations and Communications alongside your employment with one of our apprenticeship providers and lasting between 15 and 18 months.
