About the Opportunity
Vinarco is proud to represent a global leader in Oil Exploration and Production. We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer to join their dynamic project team in Bangkok. This role is critical in driving the success of large-scale greenfield and brownfield projects through world-class scheduling and project control.
The Role & Responsibilities
As a Planning Engineer you will be the architect of the project timeline ensuring seamless integration from engineering through to offshore commissioning.
- Integrated Scheduling: Develop and maintain overall project schedules (Level 3/4) covering Engineering Procurement Fabrication Installation (EPCI) and Hook-up/Commissioning.
- Alignment & Integration: Ensure baseline schedules align with contract milestones; coordinate greenfield and brownfield teams to ensure seamless integration with existing facilities.
- Progress Tracking: Establish progress measurement systems (WBS/CBS); track and report weekly/monthly progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Offshore Support: Assist installation teams with offshore execution sequences vessel schedules and readiness plans.
- Analysis & Mitigation: Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis to identify potential delays and recommend proactive recovery actions and risk mitigation.
- Resource Management: Integrate manpower materials and cost data into schedules to facilitate comprehensive project control.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 510 years of planning experience within the Oil & Gas EPCI or heavy construction industries.
- Strong background in offshore structures subsea pipelines or platform modifications.
- Expert-level Primavera P6 and MS Excel are essential; proficiency in MS Project and standard Office tools.
- Deep understanding of progress measurement (Rules of Credit) and project management principles.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to communicate complex scheduling data clearly to multidisciplinary teams.
