Were looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support Tenant Improvement (TI) this role you will be a key part of the team delivering multi-phase upgrades to terminal facilities operational areas and support spaces. You will manage the full lifecycle of small projects from planning thru design and construction and orchestrating the logistics to ensure these spaces work seamlessly within one of the busiest airports in the world.

What Youll Do

Support the Big Picture: Assist in overseeing the scope and schedule for various SFO-managed terminal modernization activities including United Lobby reconfigurations and baggage service office relocations.

Maintain Project Momentum: Ensure a structured project workflow to keep all parties engaged proactively addressing interdependencies to prevent bottlenecks and enhance efficiency.

Coordinate Relocations: Provide direct support for the planning and delivery of temporary and permanent stakeholder relocations including Station Operations Centers and employee support spaces.

Manage Schedule & Budget: Update the master schedule track milestones and oversee project budgets to ensure expenditures align with approved controls.

Facilitate Communication: Serve as a liaison between the client airport divisions and contractors leading regular meetings and documenting key action items to ensure team alignment.

Ensure Quality & Compliance: Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure construction aligns with approved plans while maintaining compliance with airport authority requirements and industry best practices.

Mitigate Risk: Assist in identifying potential risks such as delays or budget overruns and help implement strategies to keep project progress on track.

What You Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture Engineering Construction Management Planning or a related field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in planning design and/or construction.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage project controls contract management and construction phasing.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with airport and airline executives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Bluebeam
  • Familiarity with CAD/REVIT is a plus.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Aviation Expertise: Experience managing capital projects at active airports and familiarity with the unique challenges of operational aviation environments.
  • PMP CCM PE or LEED accreditation.
