Lead Developer

Lead a team of up to 5 professionals fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment where creativity technical excellence and diversity thrive.

Develop features for our current platform and deliver objectives on time and according to GemOnes expected quality levels.

Lead code reviews and enforce best practices to maintain high-quality code and reduce technical debt

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to deployment and operation identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.

Contribute to continuous improvements within the agile software development process.

Coach motivate and stimulate development of your team members (through on the job coaching continuous feedback follow-up interviews providing training ...) in order to grow their competences.

Estimate & plan all work and provide transparent status reporting & budget management

Align with other team leads where you share work in progress identify dependencies and share best practices And perhaps more than anything you will need to challenge the status quo. There are no taboos there is only a continuous striving to optimize output quality reliability and future-proofness. Aside from the above mentioned objectives you will also be able to learn from state-of-the-art IoT technology together with a joyous mix of high-potentials and well seasoned professionals.

Requirements

Have a first experience as a Team Lead

Have solid experience with the life cycle used in a software organization and a good understanding of software & release delivery

Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Have experience with Agile methods

Document mentor and collaborate with clarity and intention

Stay curious self-driven and open to continuous learning

Have practical experience with Jira

Youre well known with Java development and knowledge of NodeJS/Typescript/Python is a plus.

You know how to use Maven (or Gradle).

Concepts of containerization preferably Docker and Kubernetes are well known to you.

You master and can modify CI/CD pipelines. We use Bitbucket pipelines so any experience with them is a considerable plus.

You have solid experience with cloud infrastructure preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Fluent in English

Be open to traveling to Belgium up to 23 times per year.
