Job Summary

ResthavenCommunity Services at Marion Community Servicesinvites you to join their team in as anExercise Physiologist. This position is offered on afull-time basis.

You will be effectively communicating with staff members health professionals clients and family with regards to provision of Exercise Physiology services and workingas a professional member of a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team and actively participating in team meetings and continuous improvement activity.

Role requirements:

Implement evidence-based interventions and develop tailored individual exercise programs for clients with Chronic Disease
Design deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for people with acute sub-acute or chronic medical conditions injuries or disabilities.
Practising within the standards and ethics of the Exercise Physiologist profession as documented in the Standards & Compliance prepared by Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
Balancing competing priorities of individuals expectations against resource levels
Maintaining documentation in a professional and confidential manner and in accord with Resthaven standards
Supervising and instructing Therapy Assistants
Contributing to and participating in education programs for clients and staff of Resthaven

Essential Criteria:

Full member of Exercise & Sport Science Australian (ESSA)
Full Drivers Licence
An understanding of issues facing older people their families and carers and a knowledgeof the range and type of services available for older people

Annual Full-time Salary range is from $90000 - $111000 (plus superannuation and salary sacrificing options!)
