About the Role

Babcock Australasia is seeking a motivated Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in one of our most significant Defence programs the Defence High Frequency Communications System (DHFCS) program. This sovereign Australian capability delivers secure longrange tactical and voice communications underpinning Defence resilience and national security.

This is a fulltime permanent position offers the opportunity to step into a highimpact role where your expertise will directly support both operational delivery and future growth. As Finance Manager youll act as a trusted partner to Program Managers senior leaders and Defence customers providing financial insight analysis and guidance that drives strategic and commercial outcomes.

Youll oversee budgets forecasts reporting and compliance ensuring strong financial controls are in place while identifying opportunities to improve processes and performance. Beyond supporting existing contracts youll also play a key role in shaping new business opportunities helping to implement financial structures for upcoming projects and ensuring Babcock is well positioned for success.

To be successful you will bring:

  • Australian Citizenship with a Defence Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain).
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field.
  • Professional qualification in CA/CPA.
  • Extensive experience as a finance manager or a role similar in skill and responsibility in a large corporate environment preferably within the Defence Industry.
  • Extensive experience in financial business partnering including leadership of teams and strategic financial planning across complex environments.
